Antique late 19th-century Victorian gold-filled ladies’ watch chain necklace by the Dagget & Clap Company and ring by Dattelbaum & Friedman. Watch chain features a sun and moon pattern slide decorated with an opal, seed pearls, and turquoise cabochons. Ring once held two cabochon opals (now only one) framed on each side with diamond chips.
Daggett & Clap was established in August 1882 by Harvey Clap and H. M. Daggett. They specialized in the making of heavy gold-filled pieces in a variety of ladies' goods and jewelry, such as buttons, bracelets, initial goods, novelties, rings, etc.
