Antique 19th century Anglo American drop dial wall clock. The hand-crafted case being made in England, and the movement being imported from the Us Made of walnut and inlaid satinwood / fruitwood featuring scalloped form with a starburst / sunburst shaped case with scrolled accents and Roman numeral face. Circa 1880s

This style of clock is often known as the "double hollow, string and dot." (The 'double hollow' referring to a clocks lower aperture space, whilst the 'string and dot' refers to the skillfully hand-crafted marquetry around the clocks case).

Condition

Good overall condition, wear and distressing commensurate with age and use, veneer loss, cracking, imperfections of aging, finish loss to face, working.
