Description
Vintage Neoclassical Greek God pedestal table / plant stand by Royal Bronze Studio. A black marble top is supported by a very heavy bronze base featuring intricately cast classical details of repeating interlocking ribbon (guilloche) and egg-and-dart borders, flanking a central horizontal medallion motif. The table is supported by three robust, stylized legs with expressive, bearded male heads or satyr-like / Greek God figures. The legs gracefully curve outward and back inward in a bold S-shape cabriole style scroll . They are joined near the bottom by an elaborate multi-tiered central stretcher accented with floral finials and acanthus leaf details. The legs culminate in distinct, out-turned scroll feet.
Condition
Some discoloration / hazing / staining to marble, extremely heavy.
