Description

Antique The B.L. Marble Chair Co. freestanding oak hall tree. Features an architectural silhouette defined by a tall, straight-tapered square central column crafted from durable, darkly stained wood. Its base relies on a four-legged arched cross-brace configuration that encapsulates the sturdy, utilitarian ethos of early-to-mid 20th-century American Craftsman design. Near the top, heavy-duty cast brass dual-prong hooks extend outward to provide vertical clearance for heavy winter coats, hats, and umbrellas, accented further by a prominent industrial vertical slide latch mounted flush to the front face.

The B.L. Marble Chair Co. based out of Bedford, Ohio. Founded by Barzilla L. Marble in 1894, the historic manufacturer was widely celebrated for its high-end commercial, barrister, and office furniture—making this beautifully preserved hall tree a prime example of quality American craftsmanship from the Arts and Crafts era.
