The substantial lower sideboard base is configured with four spacious drawers—two stacked on each side—bordering a central pair of cabinet doors, all fitted with decorative brass batwing escutcheon plates and bale pull handles. Elevating its historical elegance, this period piece is enriched with refined Neoclassical elements, including light-wood oval marquetry medallions, checkered string inlay borders, a highly decorative pierced fretwork valance across the top, and a matching scalloped apron that rests gracefully on elegant cabriole legs ending in pad feet.
