Description

Antique 19th century H.W. Hayden for Ansonia Brass Company spun brass fire bucket, pail, hearthware caldron with wrought iron rat tail style bail handle and copper grommets. Circa 1850s-60s.

C.G. Hussey & Company (Curtis Grubb Hussey), was a 19th-century American industrial pioneer. He founded C.G. Hussey & Co. in 1848 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company became a major manufacturer of copper and brass products, ranging from copper sheets and nails to cookware and industrial materials. The company has operated for over 175 years and continues today as Hussey Copper in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, specializing in copper busbar and critical connectivity components.
