Late 19th century hand colored llithograph print titled "The Fruits of Temperance," published by Currier & Ives "Family (Husband, wife, three children) with a dog and cat sitting in a living room/parlor next to a window with a scene outside of a train crossing over a bridge and a ship in the water. Currier & Ives produced a series of prints that encouraged pious living and moderation. In this work, which celebrates the positive effects of temperance, a wealthy family is shown together in their comfortable home. This image, a companion to The Fruits of Intemperance, was also published under the name The Good Husband."
