Description

Early 20th century Manchester Silver Co sterling silver cream / sauce ladle in the Mary Warren pattern (introduced 1910). Monogrammed with the letter P.

"MANCHESTER SILVER COMPANY - Founded in 1887 William H. Manchester as W.H. Manchester & Co. in Providence, RI. The company was renamed Manchester Mfg. Co. from 1904-1914 (using the logo later used by Baker-Machester Mfg. Co) and in 1915, the name changed to Manchester Silver Co. In the mid-1950's, the company acquired the dies and rights to the flatware patterns of Richard Dimes Co. When silver prices spiked in 1980, the firm announced it would be liquidated. The Manchester Silver Co. was purchased by J.C. Boardman Co. in 1985." (Source: Silver Matching Co / 925-1000)
