"Johnstone Baird (1872-1935) was a Scottish painter and etcher of architectural subjects, born in Ayrshire. He studied at Glasgow School of Art in the early years of the century and during World War I was a Naval architect with the Admiralty. His main works include paintings of Waterloo Bridge, Loch Lomond, and Edinburgh Castle and he showed at the RSA, Society of Scottish Artists, Connell & Sons, and Paris Salon. He is represented in the collection of Paisley Art Gallery and the Christchurch Art Gallery, New Zealand." (Sulis Fine Art)
