Rare vintage 1970's sterling silver commemorative coin. Face: Portrait of architect Elias Holl, flanked with dates 1573 / 1646, surrounded by the words "Baumeister in Augsburg 1573 Elias Holl 1973." Obverse shows the facade of a building surrounded by the words "Siegelhaus in Augsburg Erbaut 1604-1606" and 925 sterling mark.
This 925 silver medal in the highest proof quality was issued in 1973 to commemorate the 400th birthday of Elias Holl, a master builder in Augsburg. The obverse depicts Augsburg's town hall, built between 1615 and 1620.
