"James Craig Nicoll (1846 - 1918) was active/lived in New York, California, Connecticut. James Nicoll is known for Seascape and landscape painting, etching, watercolor. Born in NYC, James Craig Nicoll was an Eastern painter who was in San Diego in 1896-97. While there, he painted several views of Catalina Island. He died in Norwalk, CT on July 25, 1918." (askART)
