Carl Zimmermann (1863-1930), German Stag / Elk landscape print. Yardlong format, signed in stone along the lower right. Features a stag and two deer on a mountain hillside. The print is framed in a carved black painted frame with gold trim.

Carl Zimmermann painted landscapes, animals, and hunting scenes. Zimmermann was the student of Paul Friedrich Meyer Home and Eugen Bracht. At first he lived in Munich and was then in Berlin since 1896. He was active in Goslar in 1915 (see FIG. Thieme-Becker XXXVI, 514). He participated in exhibitions in Munich Glass Palace and the Great Berlin Art exhibitions.
