Late 20th century Impressionist landscape oil painting on canvas titled "Cerisiers Rouges" (Red Cherry Trees) by Andres Roubaud. Depicts a landscape of a field lined with red-orange cherry trees and cottage / farmhouse / chateau in the background, resembling a vineyard in the hillsides France. Signed in lower right corner. Silver and gold beveled giltwood frame with white linen mat.

Andre Roubaud uses vivid colors and thick texture. The hues on his images are bright yellow, green, red and blue and are intended to draw the viewer's eyes into the image. He uses a palette knife to move the thick paint around his canvas. This strong texture gives the painting depth, and for some viewers the feeling they could almost walk into the scene of the painting. Roubaud works quickly to capture his excitement onto the canvas and to achieve a reflection of his soul. If an image looses his interest, he pushes it aside until he finds his inspiration again.
