Vintage 1980s House of Nisbet Peter Bulls Bully Bear, NTB 5, World Edition Number 1296 / 2500. Crafted with light, golden brown mohair and black eyes, with articulated limbs and head. This well loved bear has been patched in several places with leather. Includes black and beige plaid scarf with "I'm Bully Bear" and "Aloysius" buttons. 80th Birthday delicatessen.
"Bully Bear was named after his mentor, the late Peter Bull, who was the legendary father figure of the world-wide teddy bear fraternity. The House of Nisbet first became associated with Peter Bull in 1979, and within a short time, were working together to design a new bear that would combine all the old-fashioned essentials (viz: a hump, prominent snout, and embroidered paws and pads), with a slightly mischevious look. Bully was partly modelled on Aloysius, so collectors might notice a slight similarity.
