Vintage Chinese Chinoiserie Plique a Jour stained glass cloisonne enamel easter egg with stand, box and floral motif.

Plique a jour is a type of cloisonne that is translucent and uses transparent enamels for a stained glass effect. To create this, small wires are soldered to each other over a vase. several coats of enamel are then appolied in the design formed by the wires. The base is removed by an acid bath, and light shines through the enamel.
