Vintage Maitland Smith Mahogany Leather Chippendale Ball & Claw Writing Desk 59"

Description

Chippendale style library or office desk by Maitland Smith. Made from mahogany with intricately carved details including high relief acanthus legs leading to ball and claw feet. Features a three panel green / brown and gold tooled leather top with fleur de lis accents and carved scalloped apron. Drawers are banded with brass pulls and neatly framed by ornate trim. Finished on both sides like a partners desk, but with false drawers on front, leaving full length drawers for use.

Condition

Good vintage condition, light wear and distressing commensurate with age and use, scuffing to leather.
