Description
7 Vintage Statton solid cherry barrel back saloon or Caboose dining arm chairs, circa mid 20th cenutry.
The Caboose Chair was first designed for the Union Pacific Railroad and was put into every caboose on the train. Specifically made to withstand abuse with its contoured saddle seat design, this is one of the strongest chairs made. These chairs are made by highly skilled craftsman with dedication and experience. These chairs also saw service in the old firehouse's and saloons of the day.
Statton Furniture was a staple in Fine Furniture stores across the country. Their elegant, Made in America cherry pieces stood for quality and craftsmanship. Statton Furniture operated out of Hagerstown Maryland from 1926 until 2008. During that long period, Statton Furniture Company remained a family company, owned and managed by generations of the Statton name.
