Description
A rare and impressive early Qing dynasty marked 19th Century Chinese Stand by Yi Zhang. A rectangular form made from rosewood with mortise and tenon construction featuring inset gray marble top over a mother-of-pearl inlaid and pierced foliate frieze. An exceptional design with beautiful floral inlays throughout. The stand includes an inset lower shelf over long legs with carved feet. Signed beneath the stone and along the bottom side of the table in several places.
