Mid century Italian Deruta Ricco design umbrella or cane stand. The Ricco design is heavily influenced by the frescoes of Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino, the mentor of Raphael. Pietro Perugino, born Pietro Vannucci, was an Italian Renaissance painter of the Umbrian school, who developed some of the qualities that found classic expression in the High Renaissance. Raphael was his most famous pupil. Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, known as Raphael, was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance.
