Description
54 piece flatware set by Wm Rogers and 1847 Rogers Bros silver plate in the Vintage pattern. “The Vintage pattern design features multiple grape clusters with leaves and tendrils on the handles. Additional portions of the pattern motif can be found on some blades, in the bowls of some spoons and above the tines on some forks. The Vintage pattern was made by the Meriden Britannia Company, a division of the International Silver Co. and sold under the 1847 Rogers trademark. It was designed by International's staff designer Samuel Stohr and quickly became one of the most popular silver plated patterns ever produced. The Vintage pattern was made from 1904 through 1918 and throughout this time the company continued to add items to the line. By 1916 there were over 100 different pieces available in this pattern. Several other grape patterns were made during that period by other manufactures, namely Moselle 1906 by American Silver World Brand, La Vigne 1908 by Oneida 1881 Rogers, La Concorde 1910 by Oneida, Wm. A. Rogers. “
