Henredon was established in 1945 and first came to prominence through its production of stylish, modern furniture designed by some of the leading designers of the time. Although Henredon was originally recognized primarily for its superior quality, it became world renowned through its system of partnering with famous artists, architects, and designers on furniture collections – a practice that has been extended through today. Over the years, Henredon has collaborated with such illustrious figures as Frank Lloyd Wright and Dorothy Draper, and, more recently, Barbara Barry and Ralph Lauren. Based in North Carolina, each Henredon piece is demonstrative of the finest American craftsmanship and enduring style. Although several collections, particularly those from the post-war period from when it was first founded, are considered the pinnacle of Hollywood Regency, Henredon has come to be predominantly known for its traditional designs, which are able to anchor any interior design scheme.
