Description

This gorgeous Roseville Pine Cone vase #842-8" features a low-waisted form with gnarled branch handles, and boasts a beautiful flowing green matte glaze. Includes Original Sticker.

The tale of Roseville's landmark Pine Cone pattern is legendary. Originally conceived by Frank Ferrell as early as 1905, it was dismissed by both Weller and Peters & Reed before finding a home. Introduced by Roseville in 1935, with modern shapes designated with 400 #'s introduced in 1953, it quickly became one of their most popular lines and remains highly sought after today, with its naturalistic rendering of gnarled branches, pine cones, and spray of pine needles in relief on a smooth background.
