Vintage lithograph print on arches paper titled "Reflets" by Bernard Gantner, circa 1975, showing a country farmhouse landscape of a tree and pond, with cottages and hills in the background. Pencil signed and numbered 141/185. Framed in a gilt beveled frame.
"Bernard Gantner was born in Belfort, France in 1928, into a family originally from the Alsace region. With the encouragement of his family, in particular his grandfather, Gantner started drawing a very young age. He went to Paris to study at the School of Fine Arts and returned home after a year. His career as a painter gained momentum in the 1950's and in 1961 Gantner won the Critic's Prize for his work. Since then, he has had numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. Known for his landscape paintings, especially in winter, he has also produced lithographs used for book illustrations. He died in 2018.
