Diane Velasco received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Her paintings were well received at the popular East Hall Gallery. She also studied a semester abroad in Florence, Italy. She went on to win Honorable Mention in the Hazleton Art League statewide art competition in Pennsylvania, where her works were displayed at the Hazleton Art League Gallery. Diane also won fifth place in the prestigious, international 7th Annual Pastel 100 Competition and was featured in the 2006 April issue of The Pastel Journal magazine. More recently, she placed first and third place in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Art Association’s annual juried shows. Diane has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, and fine artist throughout her career and currently resides in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Cental Virginia.
