Description

A stunning 19th Century Federal Empire Butlers Chest with Desk Drawer. Made from Cherry with a burled Walnut front. Empire style originated in the early 1800s in France drawing from the styles of the Ancient Roman Republic. As you can see the long columns on the outside edges of the dresser with scrolled tops are reminiscent of this. The dresser features 3 lower drawers that are set back and large secretary desk drawer along the top. The drawer flips down to reveal an inlaid leather top, 8 burled drawers and 7 pigeon holes. In addition, there are 2 secret drawers that can be pushed forward through the back of the pigeon holes to reveal those compartments. Along the bottom are ornate lion carved paw feet. The face of the piece is outfitted with glass pulls. An amazing piece overall, that will add grandeur to any setting.

This piece will be hand delivered via White Glover Service.
